Welcome to our island!
The view from our house.
It is upon us.
Savannah is graduating from USF and the heading off on her first job as a botanist for the National Park Service. Ginny is working at her job as a leasing agent in Tampa, and then will head off to be part of the staff at the National Leadership Council in D.C. to work in the intelligence division, then will go back to USF for the Fall and will graduate early this December. Time is passing WAY to quickly. We can’t even begin to tell you how proud we are of our offspring.
Take your shoes off and get some sand in-between your toes. The latest updates on our the island can be found on The Denizen Blog to your right.
Our island isn’t very big, but we’ve got a lot of heart. We’ve been sitting here on the east coast of Florida for three generations, and we’re still going strong.
Like the small waves that lap on on our shores, Don has also surfed the web since 1994 when he established his first web presence to promote his work, and in 1996 he established his own illustration and animation firm serving the nation’s top publications, the government and fortune 500 companies.
Don has walked these beaches most of his life. Of course, nobody called it FoleyIsland back then. But nobody has EVER given this island a name. So we call it, FoleyIsland.
With FoleyIsland.com, we’ve found a home where we can pull together our minor family adventures. All of which, of course, were well recorded by the media hounds that currently root around the sands of FoleyIsland.
One thing we enjoy sharing is our life here on FoleyIsland, so you’ll find updates in the Denizen Blog.
Our audience for this site is our family and friends scattered around the country. We’ve moved many times and along the way we have had the honor of meeting some of the most interesting people you can imagine. We’ve also cruised the east coast of the United States in various boats, and have shared the shores with a great number of adventurous souls.
And now we’re finding, as our girls grow and leave the nest, this is our place to share our experiences with them. They can find the photos of some of the adventures we’ve shared, and some of the recipes of the many meals we’ve prepared at our evening dinners.
